The most accurate calculation of p so far was made by Dr. Yasumasa Kanada of the University of Tokyo. He used a super computer to figure out the value 1,241,100,000,000 places to the right of the decimal point. In 1995, Hiroyuki Goto of Tokyo, Japan, set a record by memorizing the most digits of p (42,195).
